One need not be a scientist to understand what is going on with our climate. Whether the positive or negative scenarios will turn out to be most accurate, significant social problems lie ahead in the coming decades unless we manage to become fully sustainable as a species. Founding Language aims to be ahead of the curve in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility.

CONTEXT

Founding Language has the relative luxury of not working in a polluting industry. Our company operations mostly take place digitally. We consume (green) energy, very limited fossil fuels and some paper, non of which cannot be compensated with limited measures.

This means that we are, by definition, a clean partner that contributes to the sustainability objectives of our customers. Furthermore, this context also enables us to raise the bar and be a leader in the field of sustainability. We entirely compensate our own footprints, while showing leadership in three different ways:

We also compensate the personal footprint of our staff members.
A joint effort to take compensating measures for the environment is easier and more successful than individual efforts. We therefore do not only compensate our professional footprint, but also those of our staff members in their private lives.

We also compensate the footprint of those who work for us.
The same principle applies here: In a joint effort, we also compensate for any emissions or other forms of ecological footprint caused in our production process by our global team of translators, copywriters and industry experts during projects carried out for us. This turns our entire delivery chain into a green one.

We compensate our footprint for 150% rather than 100%. 
For every company or individual making an effort to be sustainable, a lot more – unfortunately – do not (yet), while the environment desperately needs this compensation. We are therefore not climate neutral, but give more to the world than we take.
